Ambulatory BP Monitoring

Ambulatory BP monitoring includes readings of blood pressure of a patient taken over 24 consecutive hours. Blood pressure is typically monitored every 20-30 minutes during the daytime and every one hour when the patient is asleep at night.
Galaxy hospital provides an ambulatory BP monitoring facility in their ICU where a consultant doctor is present 24/7 to monitor the health of patients. Ambulatory BP monitoring may be required for patients with hypertension, cardiac failure, active heart disorders, pregnant ladies diagnosed with pre-eclampsia, etc.
The heart rate is also monitored along with BP which gives the doctor an idea of the patient’s general health.
